About Emotiv
EMOTIV is a bioinformatics company that develops electroencephalograph (EEG) devices that advance the understanding of the human brain. Their stated mission is to empower individuals to understand their own brain and accelerate brain research globally.
The technology falls under the umbrella of Brain Computer Interface (BCI), also referred to as Mind Machine Interface (MMI), Direct Neural Interface (DNI) or Brain Machine Interface (BMI). The devices EMOTIV develops aim to track cognitive performance, monitor emotions, and control both virtual and physical objects via machine learning of trained mental commands.
Project Summary
Amatek was engaged to adapt the successful 14-channel EEG design developed for the EPOC+ and create a professional 32-channel device suitable for research applications.
Outcomes
We developed this innovative 32-channel wireless EEG skull cap with an integrated recording system that stores EEG data on a removeable memory card. Another first for yet another client.
