About Emotiv
EMOTIV is a bioinformatics company that develops electroencephalograph (EEG) devices that advance the understanding of the human brain. Their stated mission is to empower individuals to understand their own brain and accelerate brain research globally.
The technology falls under the umbrella of Brain Computer Interface (BCI), also referred to as Mind Machine Interface (MMI), Direct Neural Interface (DNI) or Brain Machine Interface (BMI). The devices EMOTIV develops aim to track cognitive performance, monitor emotions, and control both virtual and physical objects via machine learning of trained mental commands.
Project Summary
Amatek was engaged to adapt the EEG electronics first developed for the Insight headset into the MN8 wireless earbud design.
Outcomes
We engineered the "first of their kind" Bluetooth stereo earbuds with integrated 2-channel EEG, that are allowing developers to create unique brain activity-aware Apps.
